A trumpet ensemble comprised of Jay Coble, Barry Springer, Pat Harbison, Robert Baca, and Karl Sievers premiered a composition by Adam student David A. Roth entitled Fired Up! for 5 Trumpets, written especially for the occasion of Adam's 80th birthday.

It was performed in tribute to Mr. Adam who attended the 1998 ITG (International Trumpet Guild) Conference's Festival of Trumpets concert. Those having studied with Mr. Adam have become quite familiar with that term.
