Used Schilke Auction Archives

What follows is a compendium of the auction results from e-Bay commencing March 27, 1999, the day I started keeping track, through those more recent included on the Auction Survey page. I thought it might be useful to some to maintain all the information collected in a place where one didn't have to scroll through it all to look at the most recent additions.

Notes:

The sales price in the transactions where the instrument sold as a result of the auction are shown in red, for quick reference. Where the transaction price is in bold red, the purchaser availed him- or herself of the eBay Buy It Now procedure.

The sales prices in black were in those transactions where the horn was not sold. The single asterisk (*) signifies that the seller's reserve was not met and therefore there was no sale. The amount listed is the highest bid, the reserve being some unknown higher amount. The double asterisk (**) signifies that, while there was no reserve, the seller's minimum bid was never matched or exceeded. Thus, there was no sale. The amount listed is the seller's minimum bid, presumably the market price would be lower.

Remember, also, that instruments that are not sold the first time (reserve not met, etc.) often appear again later down the list.
